Answers to commonly asked questions
Probably our most commonly asked question!
Thrive College is a 9 month discipleship program designed to bring you closer to God and your purpose.
We think preparing you for effective ministry and preparing you to stand out on a resume go hand-in-hand. Many of our students end up doing a second year because of the community and experience they gain.
Thrive College is for anyone who has graduated high school and wants to either pursue a ministry career or invest in their own leadership while attending a university.
Our program runs from August through May (nine months). At the end of your first year you will have the opportunity to apply to return for a second year.
Tuition for students starting in Fall 2023 is detailed at our partner page with Southeastern University. The program fee includes room and board for non local students, conference admissions, and retreat costs. Housing
If you are not a local student, you’ll live with a host family from Bayside Church during your time at Thrive College. Some local students may have the opportunity to be placed with a host home as well depending on availability and need. These families are specially screened and selected through our Host Home program. They support and believe in the mission of Thrive College, are committed to Jesus, and will provide a stable living space for you. Your host family will also provide food, although it’s wise to plan for additional gas and dining expenses (about $300 / month). Check out more Host Home information.
We can't currently offer visas to foreign students, but we're working on it, and hope to be able to do this soon. If you're able to secure a visa on your own, then go ahead and apply!
Local students do not receive Host Homes. For more information regarding living locally please email Maryjane Fox.
